Jan Schmuckler, PhD, is a dynamic coach, experienced organizational psychologist, and vibrant author who engages with individuals, leaders, and teams to achieve the exceptional results they want based on outstanding business outcomes. For more than 30 years, she has been transforming organizations and changing lives through her energy, enthusiasm, and expertise.

 

Her clients are leaders in the private, public, and volunteer sectors, including biotech, financial services, healthcare, high tech, and not-for-profit organizations throughout the world. Prior to entering private practice, she worked as an internal coach and consultant in the Silicon Valley for seven years. Jan was professor of organizational psychology in the master’s program and director of the graduate coaching certificate program at John F. Kennedy University. 

For the past nineteen years, Jan has had a solo practice where collaboration is a fundamental value with clients, leadership teams, and colleagues. She is a skilled facilitator and dynamic leader who uses her energy and experience toward driving individual and organizational growth and success. 

Jan is passionate about bright, highly competent leaders who are committed to their own learning and developing their teams. She designs pragmatic and customized approaches to maximize individual satisfaction and business results.

Jan received her doctorate in psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. She holds a master’s of education degree in educational psychology and a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Jan is a former member of the editorial board of the Bay Area Organization Development Network journal. She has published articles in the journal, and also in the NCHRA Bulletin, HR.com, and the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2012 Pfeiffer Annuals for consultants. She regularly presents at professional conferences. She is skilled and certified in a wide array of assessment tools to assist clients to achieve better understanding and self-awareness. 

Her background as an internal consultant, her psychological training, and more than 30 years as a coach and consultant enable her to deeply understand clients’ challenges and respond in constructive ways for their success as individuals and as leaders.
